If it is last minute, then just bring drinks. People probably can never get enough soda and stuff, and when the eating is done, everybody will still be sipping on sodas and talking.

Deviled eggs
Baked beans
Potato salad
Pasta salad

or my favorite.......

1 bunch broccoli, cut up
1/2 cup finely chopped red onions
1/2 lb. bacon cooked,crumbled
1 cup raisins (I didn't use quite so much)
1/2 cup diced celery
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
.
Dressing:
1 cup Miracle Whip salad dressing
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon vinegar

PREPARATION:

In a large serving bowl, combine broccoli and other salad ingredients. Mix dressing ingredients together, pour over salad ingredients and toss gently.

make some really easy potato salad....

cut up about 8 potatos....into smaller cubes.
boil them till they are almost soft.

Dice small onion
dice small pepper
dice 4 slices of celery

mix mustard, mayo, horseradish.......and salt and pepper to taste.....

Drain potatos....and let them cool...then mix them all together....its really great.

Veggies and dip or fruit kabobs

you could go with a vegetable tray. Get the veges and cut them into strips add dip and your done.
If that isn't easy enough take pickles and olives

orange curry chicken thighs, with a nice German Riesling (Fisherman). They'll love it. Can I come.

I love bringing my fancied up baked beans...
It tastes like you made from scratch, but they are fast, cheap and easy.
Use one large can of baked beans (any brand is ok)
add some cooked and crumbled bacon(save some for topping dish) , add one Tablespoon of brown sugar, 1 teasp. dried mustard ( or regular squeeze mustard if not) and a squeeze of ketchup. Mix all and top with saved bacon crumbles on top. Bake covered in a 350 oven for 30 minutes. Keep covered and take to BBQ. They taste great!

Drinks are best.

make some cookies or get some cheap dessert from the supermarket.

This will sound like a strange recipe but I promise everyone will love it. My whole family loves it and it's soooo easy to make

Sausage Beans
1 pound bulk sausage (the kind in a roll)
2-3 cans Homestyle/original baked beans
1/2 cup of pancake syrup

brown sausage - drain
Mix sausage and all other ingredients in crockpot, cook on low for 2 hours or more
If you don't have a crock pot put in heavy pot with lid and simmer on low about 30-45 minutes.

If you don't want to cook you could always take some rolls, a pre bought dessert, or like others said drinks.

Good Luck.

I love this stuff;

Cheesy Corn Bake
Yield: 10-12 servings

2 tablespoons butter or margarine
4 teaspoons all purpose flour
1/8 teaspoons garlic powder
3/4 cup milk
6oz sharp cheddar cheese
1 (3oz) pkg cream cheese, cubed
3 (10oz) pkgs frozen whole kernel corn, thawed
3oz ham, diced

In a large saucepan, melt margarine or butter
Stir in flour and garlic powder
Add milk all at once
Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until thickened and bubbly
Stir in cheese
Cook, stirring constantly, over low heat until melted
Stir in corn and ham
Transfer mixture to a 2 quart casserole dish
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Get a couple of cakes and slice them then put them on a plate to serve....

baked beans

Bring a dessert. How about banana pudding, peach cobbler, or just pick up something already made at the grocery store.
