Question: How to preserve Indian sweets for long?
What is the best way to store Indian sweets like burfi etc without them getting spoilt? I live in a country where these are a rarity .

you can make sure you use ghee in them it helps to keep them longer.
keep them in the fridge they will keep a while maybe 2 weeks or if you have a lot then in the freezer, just make sure you thaw them completely first.
keep away from contact with direct sunlight and store in a cool dark place in an airtight container if you have no fridge/freezer.

It really does not matter as long as its stored in a cool place. My mom stores Indian Sweets sometimes for upto 6 moths to a year with the taste still the same. She puts them in our regular daily usage freezer or if you want a gurranty then you can always store it in a large cooler at a convinient store, if you happen to own one or know a family member who does.
