Is there anything that will offset the flavor of oregano?!

Question:

Is there anything that will offset the flavor of oregano?

I'm making a pot of chili and the mexican oregano that I used is a lot stronger than the stuff I usually use. Now the chili is a little on the bitter side. I've tried adding a little sugar but it didn't really help. Any ideas for fixing this?

Add some bittersweet coco.

since it chili you can add some tomatoes and some smoked poblano peppers to give it that south of the border zing. The tomatoes should tone down the oregano
