You can use Grenadine, or you can use maraschino cherry juice, mixing either with 7Up or Sprite.

I don't know of a mix, but a shirley temple is just ginger ale or 7 up with a little bit of grenadine. That is the cherry flavor stuff. You can buy it in the drink aisle of most large grocery stores.

1/4 cup lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
1 1/2 tablespoons grenadine syrup
1 maraschino cherry
Shirley temple is my favorite drink in the whole world! I order it at every restaurant I go to (that has a bar anyway) and everyone is right the syrup its called grenadine. and make sure you use 7-up because thats the best one to use to make the drink! sprite and serria mist are too sweet and it messes with the flavor of the syrup. and most bars all use 7-up so its the one you'll be most use to.
