How long does curry sauce last?!

Question: How long does curry sauce last?
I bought a jar of curry that says "Use immediately after opening." Doesn't say anything about refrigerating...I've used it once and put it in the fridge but I am not sure if it is safe to use again? It has been in the fridge for a little under a week.

I have never seen that on any packaged product, so in this case, I'd dump it. It apparently contains some product that goes bad quickly and has no preservatives in it. Of course, if you want to love dangerously, taste it and if it has no off taste, finish it off tonight. Most packaged food products are good for 7-14 days after opening, if refrigerated.

If this is an authentic curry sauce then you have nothing to fear – it will last for days, weeks and even months, but if it's "westernised" and contains dairy products then it might well have to be used quite soon.
Making your own curry sauce is easy enough…
Why not give it a go?

it should be o.k. as long as no contaminated utensils were used when it was first opened.
use your nose as a guide but it should be o.k.
the best preservatives are spices, that's how things like sausages were invented

Most of them will last for months.

Too long if you ask me.
