Either, although they are more commonly known as bagels. The best filling in my opinion is guacalmole and bacon with sun dried tomatoes. Delicious!
Bagels in the US. I don't fill mine. I sometimes spread cream cheese, butter, or jam on it when cut in half. Sometimes I toast it. Sometimes I melt American cheese. I've also made pizza bagels by putting tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, yum.
Both are correct. Beigel is Yiddish, Bagel the American pronunciation.
