Too much five spice in chow mein?!

Question: Too much five spice in chow mein?
I've made chow mein but i've put a bit too much 5 spice in. It tastes way too much like cinnamon. Any way i can make it less cinnamony? Something i can add?

Answers:

Wash the chow mein in water for a few seconds, then stir fry it briefly again.

Really the only thing you can do with too much cinnamon is to add more of the other ingredients.

Try to stir fry and add some chicken broth/chicken stock to the chow mein. That will help tone done the cinnamon seasoning.

Nope.

That is why you add seasonings tasting as you go, instead of just shovelling the stuff into recipes.

Your not supposed to put 5 spice in chow mein. It can't b fixed.

Soy sauce?

well chinese restaurants like to add monosodium glutamate (MSG). Makes anything taste good
