How big is a egg?!

Question:

How big is a egg?

Answers:
What kind of egg?

Small, medium, large, and extra large just read your carton of eggs when you purchase them.

Depends on what size. Here a size 6 is 30grams. You really may as well be asking 'how long is a piece of string'!

These approximations are based on a large (2-oz) egg.
Other egg sizes may be more or less than the amounts listed below.

Whole Eggs
3 whole eggs = 1/2 cup
1 whole egg = 3 tablespoons
1/2 whole egg = 4 teaspoons

Yolks
6 to 7 egg yolks = 1/2 cup
1 egg yolk = 1 tablespoon

Whites
4 to 6 egg whites = 1/2 cup
1 egg white = 2 tablespoons

Dried or Powdered Eggs
1 egg = 2 tablespoons egg powder + 2 tablespoons warm water

Modern Sizes (USA) Size Mass per egg
Jumbo Greater than 2.5 oz. or 71g
Very Large or Extra Large (XL) Greater than 2.25 oz. or 64g
Large (L) Greater than 2 oz. or 57g
Medium (M) Greater than 1.75 oz. or 50g
Small (S) Greater than 1.5 oz. or 43g
Peewee Greater than 1.25 oz. or 35g

Well, that depends on what size the egg is.

When baking an egg is 45g, a number 6 here, or medium
