How is ethiopian food?!

Question: How is ethiopian food?
Okay so tomorrow night is homecoming. My homecoming group made reservations at this ethiopian restarant. I'm freaking out because i've never had it before. Can you give some ideas of what it is similar to, and what is good to eat at a restarant like this? Thanks.

Many of the dishes are stew-like. The most common is dorowat. It is chicken in sort of a red onion based sauce. IT's really quite good. Most meals are served with a specific bread that you sop up the food with. On it's own it's really quite sour tasting but eaten with the food it's quite tasty. Don't freak out. It's good. And a fun new experience.

It's an acquired taste. Food is eaten using the "bread" (called injera) it is served on. (no utensils). Mostly it's thick stews, some of which are vegetarian, different tastes due to many different spices. A few of the dishes are spicy.

It's really ance experience, specially if they provide a coffee (bunn-aa) ceremony at the restaurant you're gong to.

Have a great homecoming and enjoy the new experience... It's worth it...

It's really good! You eat it with this bread that is slightly sour but it has the right taste because the veggies and meat have so many spices in them. Don't be scared. It's gonna be somewhere you'll go again if you chose a good Ethopian place.

Its very very good, and spicy!

you use your hands to eat!

If i were you i would go with Kitfo, Firfir or Doro Wett.

Kitfo and Firfir are my favorite, i go to Ethiopian restaurants alot.

don't be surprised if you have to take a big Sh*t the next day.

alot of it is spicy. the main ethiopian dish is called injera just google it and google up ethipian food to see what it looks like.

Oh and its pretty darn good.

Ethiopian food is very delicious, but Im a self-proclaimed foodie so I like to embrace all foods of all kinds. The best part about Ethiopian food is that you eat with your fingers...........its fun! Enjoy your night!
