Where can I find sopes?!

Question: Where can I find sopes?
I love, love, love traditional Mexican food and lately I've been trying my hand at cooking some recipes. One I've been wanting to try especially is Sopes Verdes (I found the recipe on the back of a can of Rosarita traditional re-fried beans; here's the recipe: http://www.conagrafoods.com/recipes-Sope… ).

My only problem is, I've searched high and low, but I can't seem to find any sopes anywhere! Can someone please tell me what major retailers sell them, or at the least, recipes for how to make them?

Your answers will be greatly appreciated!

Answers:

why not just make them urself? Making sopes is very easy ! just pick up a bad of Masa dough and follow the instructions, it is the same recipe for tortilla dough you just need to form them into little balls like a meat ball and than form them into small round tortilla shapes thicker of course, best to fry these in a Little bit of lard for the flavour. Than top with some beans, Green sauce , your choice of meat and cheese.

make these all the time!

Where do you live? Most, if not all, Mexican Restaurants serve them. Also Taco trucks for sure serve them topped with Carne Asada, Al Pastor, or Carnitas. If it's not on the menu, ask for them and they should be able to make them for you. Hope this helps.

Experience.
