Is escargot healthy for you to eat..?

like since it's snail..is it healthy? does it have like a lot of vitamins? what do you gaint from eating it?

They are my favorite. Prepared correctly they are wonderful which means the parsley or garlic butter & out of the shell.
Escargot is high in protein and low in fat content if served without butter. It is estimated that escargot is 15% protein, 2.4% fat and about 80% water
Really high in calcium but no vitamins.

ew i have no idea i would never try it

They are actually quite delicious when served properly! I like them in mushroom caps with garlic butter all over them...I used to be into raw oysters with seafood sauce for a while too...now I don't think I could stomach that all again! LOL

They were both great and supposedly very healthy for you...the snails I'm not really sure what they would have...now that I have snails in my garden I kind of lost my desire them but I would never say never....

They are high in iron I believe.
Never be put off food by what they are but by the taste.
Many people are put off things like tripe, oysters, and haggis, just because of what they are.
