Answers:
HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE CAKE
1/3 cup baking cocoa
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups water
3/4 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 teaspoons vinegar

CHOCOLATE CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

3ounces cream cheese (softened)
1/4 cups margarine or butter
2 cups powder sugar
1/3 baking cocoa
3 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

in large mixing bowl, combine first 4 ingreedients. add the water,oil,vinegar..( batter may be thin)
pour into greased 13x9 baking pan. bake at 350'. for 25-30 minutes or untiltoothpick inserted comes out clean. cool

for frosting beat cream cheese and butter until fluffy add powder sugar, cocoa, milk, and vanilla; mix well spread over semi-warm cake..

( EDIDITOR'S NOTE.......this recipe contains no eggs.

Ener-G makes an egg replacer that you can buy in a lot of grocery stores now (including Kroger). Just use it to replace the egg in any cake recipe - the chocolate cake recipe on the hershey cocoa can is really good.

I'm not sure, but if you don't want to use eggs, they have egg replacement!
Usually, the fluffy part of the cake is from whipped egg whites. I would just look, they have EnerR replacement eggs that are vegan. Will that do?

you can add a can of pop/soda to the chocolate cake mix and it comes out pretty good. don't use a light soda though for chocolate cake but instead use a cola like coke or pepsi. I actually took cherry coke and added it to chocolate cake mix and it was really good. You could probably buy chocolate cake mix and add a cup of coconut and a can of pop and bake it. Or just add a can of pop to Duncan Hines coconut layer cake.
