Why do you think degustation menus are becoming more popular in restaurants?

Degustation menus are sometimes referred to as Tasting menus and they provide a great way for people to sample different dishes on the menu. Personally, when I order off an a la carte menu I am not very adventurous so this gives me a chance to live on the wild side.
