Anything that could be hunted of fished. Birds of all sorts. Deer, rabbit, squirrel etc.Many things depended on where you lived. If you lived near water you could get fish. Corn was grown in most places. Other vegetables were grown. You could forage for mushrooms. If you were lucky enough to have chickens you could eat eggs and the occasional chicken. If you were lucky enough to have a cow or goat you could eat butter and cheese and have milk. A lot depended on how wealthy you were. Some people could afford to grow wheat and have it milled and use the flour while other people had to manage with whatever they could hunt and forage.

as elementary as it seems. think about your thanksgiving table. try to remember what images you've seen in the textbooks with the pilgrims and the indians eating together, what you see in that picture is not completely accurate but close enough to give you an idea of foods during the earliest colonial era



Well, we are also studying this. They ate a variety of meats, and corn. I am not sure of much else.
