What is your favorite cut of beef?!

Question:

What is your favorite cut of beef?

How do you like to prepare it?

Answers:
Tenderloin, but I can't afford it! Chuck Eyes good and I can swing it if it's on sale. I hunt deer and the best part is the backstrap (loin). Delicious!

tri tip

Filet mignon, seasoned and BBQ'd to medium rare, served with creamy horseradish (also good with bernaise sauce).

Hi Rob,
I have two favorite cuts, depending on if I'm cooking myself or ordering in a resturant.

Filet Mignon in a resturant, prefered to have it wrapped in bacon served medium with a big ol' baked potato full of butter and sour cream, a bunch of steamed veggies and a big salad with bluecheese dressing with blue cheese crumbles. (Dang... now I'm hungry)

If I'm at home I'll season a trip tip roast with Schillings Montery Seasoning and bbq it. I like this so it's just turing pink from red as it continues to cook while its sitting (let it sit for 10 minutes so the juices stay in the meat when you cut it). This is great with beans, salad and bread.

I love rare, thick filet mignon. I don't dare cook it because DH says it would turn to leather. (He's a gourmet cook. I burn water.)

He grills it in a George Foreman grill.

Prime rib!!!

PERFECT PRIME RIB EVERYTIME

prime rib roast with or without bone )any size)
bottom round center cut

Preheat oven to 550F degrees.
Make a rub of salt, pepper and garlic powder and apply to meat. Place meat in a shallow roasting pan fat side up.

Roast at 550 at 5 minutes per pound for RARE, or 6 minutes per pound for MEDIUM and 7 minutes per pound for WELL DONE.

Turn off oven at the end of cooking time and DO NOT OPEN OVEN DOOR FOR TWO HOURS.

At the end of the 2 hours, remove meat from oven to slice; it comes out perfect everytime.

Works the same with Roast beef. Try it you won't be disappointed.

a nice, juicy Porterhouse steak. I maranade it in Soy Sauce for 30 minutes, brush it with nothing but salt and pepper and sear it on both sides for about 5 minutes each at most.

16 oz. sir loin, baby!! marinaded in soy sauce, garlic powder, brown sugar and crushed pepper!! medium rare is the best, too. gotta love a little blood

Fillet steak, lightly seasoned with white pepper and garlic salt and it has to be cooked medium rare...mmmm

tenderloin (filet mignon) with bourbon peppercorn cream sauce
