where can i get chestnut spread in san jose?!

Question: Where can i get chestnut spread in san jose?
I visited Italy last year and bought Crema di marrooni(Chestnut spread) also known as confiture de marrons, confiture de chataignes, and creme de marrons. I just loved it and craving for it now. Do anyone know if we can get it in the bay area?

It's really easy to make. The easiest way is to buy precooked boiled chestnuts, they are sold at any Chinese, Korean or Japanese grocery store like 99 ranch market or I've even seen them at Trader Joes but more expensive, they're in prepackaged in little bags. Bring water to boil, add precooked chestnuts and simmer until they're fork tender, drain water, process chestnuts in food processor, just a few clicks, you may want some chunks. Dissolve sugar in some water, bring to boil, add chestnuts and let cool, that's it!

Along with the kinds of stores already mentioned, our local Middle Eastern grocery also has it.

an Italian grocer. and I have seen it listed at Amazon Grocery I think Whole Foods Market also carries it

Go to Pasquale C.O.D. Grocery Store in Person.
