Question: What kind of foods do Boston locals eat. What are some of you alls home cooked favorites?
Example: Chicago locals eat polish sausages, deep dish pizzas, and Garrets popcorn.

Expanding on the home cooking part of the question: Looking for real Bostonian style dishes/recipes. Also looking for Bostonian latino style cooking, too.

Hi: Traditional New England foods are baked beans (many varieties), brown bread, Cod or Haddock which has been baked or fried - we like clam chowder made with milk. A favorite is Boiled dinner made with ham shoulder picnic, cabbage, onion, turnip and carrot. Serve this with mashed potatoes.

There is a Portuguese influence in Maine where we cook Chorizo or Linguica sausage and have portuguese sweet bread - this is from the sailors who worked on the docks.

The smart Bostonians eat Italian; the not-so-smart ones eat anything that comes their their way.



I go to the pahk to play wicked hahd. I usually pahk my cah in a garahge.
