Which food do you prefer: Thai or Chinese?!

Question:

Which food do you prefer: Thai or Chinese?

Can you distinguish to two apart anyway? Please tell me why you choose your preference. Thanks.

Answers:
Thai, no question. To me it tastes cleaner somehow. You can taste the flavours that make up a dish.
It's less likely to be heavy. I love the Tom Ka Gai soup, and the curries. I enjoy chinese food too, but thai is hands down my fav.
I like heat in the spices, I like the methods of cooking. The coconut milk in some of the dishes is nice. Rich without being cloying.
I also enjoy cooking Thai more than Chinese.

I like them both but have only recently discovered Thai so would have to say that that is my favourite at the moment.

I like both but I prefer Chinese. I am not that keen on corriander which is in a lot of thai dishes

Thai is the best! I like chinese on occasion but it doesn't feel as light and healthy as thai. I always get spring rolls and curry when I go to thai food and it just makes me feel good (and tastes better too).

Thai
I like their flavouring better. although I do enjoy chinese food too. Spent 8 weeks in Thailand - got used to eating pad thai noodle like dishes for breakfast.
I love those little steamed bread dumpling things too. And the green curry paste is my favorite.

Thai food is AWESOME! One reason, Pineapple curry shrimp! and then there is Pad Thai, Lemongrass Soup, Massaman Curry, Pork and shrimp rolls, Green Curry chicken, Fried bananas.........
Thai food isn't as heavy as chinese food can be, not so salty either, fresher fruits and vegetables, and better desserts.

Thai less fat content

Thai! The reason is flavour: lemongrass, basil, ginger galgangal, coconut, chili. I've eaten in Thailand and also China, and while Chinese food is excellent - Thai flavours are exquisite.

Thai, it's more aromatic, it looks more colourful and brings in the mind pictures of somewhere exotic and looks more fresh and healthy

Chinese! I love stir fried broccoli with scallops, Tofu with minced meat and chicken with dried chilli!
=D

You know, I probably like Thai better. But I eat Chinese more often. Probably because it's more available. Thai food has more character and spice.

Chinese is much better i think. Good luck with it. Take care.

I love chinese. My favorite thing to get is crispy eggplant. SO GOOD!

I love Thai food. I sometimes eat Chinese but only in Malaysia.
Thai food has a larger variety of flavours, is usually more spicy, is also usually less fatty and tastes good even when you reheat it the next day.

Definitely Chinese food. Not Amrican Chinese food. The real Chinese food.

Thai food can be quite spicy and uses quite a bit of seafood. Also, their noodels are different. I love spicy and I love seafood, but I really haven't liked Thai the two times I've gone. My boyfriend loves it though. Then again, most Chinese restaurants aren't authenic anyway. But I'll stick with Chinese. Sweet and sour chicken is sooooooo good.

Thai, of course!!! Very deliciouse and one of the best in the world I think. Love it : )

I love both but I prefer Chinese. When I say chinese food, I mean proper chinese food, not like the ones you find mostly in the western countries eg. UK and US. The best chinese food in one area are dishes found in Malaysia and Singapore.

Chinese food is generally healthier than Thai, I believe. Chinese food is usually cook to enhance the balance of nutrients in your body system. Not just for the enjoyment of the pallette. Yum! Yum!

I will only eat Thai food as and when I have the yearning for it. Thai food has got too much coconut milk and prawn paste in a lot of its dishes, which is bad for your cholestral level. Plus I don't like lemongrass and coriander much, which are standard ingredients in almost all its dishes.

I prefer Thai, as its more spicy
