Cooking Advice??!

Question:

Cooking Advice??

I would like to cook something nice for my husband, something different, tasteful, and romantic. I would also like to serve a red wine with our meal. So I need to make something that would go perfect red wine. Nothing over the top but nothing too simple either. I want it to be just right. Can anyone help me?

Answers:
Baked pasta of some sort, lasagne, rigatoni, ziti, etc. You can make it as elaborate or simple as you'd like. Serve that with a simply dressed salad(olive oil, lemon juice, a little thyme, salt to taste) and either some steak or chicken if you don't include it in the baked dish,(italian sausage or ground beef or a mix are really good for a meat and tomato based sauce) some crusty good bread, and a simple dessert, like fresh fruit, mixed with a little vanilla vodka and sugar, left to sit in the fridge for a couple of hours and served over pound cake or vanilla ice cream would be very good.
That main meal would go very well with anything from a classic chianti to a shiraz, zinfandel or merlot.

Good old steak and chips

Meats and salmon will go with red wine. Steaks, roasts served with simple brown sauces, bake salmon with greens on the side should to the trick.

Slow roast beef smothered with rosemary and garlic and a horse radish sauce. Plenty of recipes on the internet.
