An average italian family would eat the following for supper (called cena): anything left over from the main meal which is eaten around 1:30 p.m.. this could include pasta, soup, meat or fish or cheese, vegetables, potatoes, rice and condiments such as olives. There is always lots of bread. There is also usually wine or beer and water to drink (in some families there will also be soft drinks such as coca cola). On some occasions a family would go out for pizza, which here in Italy is only made after 8:00 p.m. in a wood burning oven.
