No , You have to have sashimi grade fish. Not all fish is created equal.

I would avoid farmed salmon and go for "fresh wild" salmon, pink salmon or sockeye both work for sushi. "Previously frozen" means it got frozen right at the dock and it's going to be very fresh. But you can't re-freeze it for later use if it's previously frozen, just beware the fish has to be really fresh to be safe for sushi. Don't forget the wasabi (hot green paste) which will kill bacteria while you eat the sushi, pickled ginger is also good to eat with raw fish in order to avoid digestive problems.
Regular fish from a store is not clean and may contain eggs of other creatures and should NEVER be consumed raw. You can buy specially prepared fish for sushi at some stores, though. Do you have an H-mart near by? They tend to have sushi fish. Perhaps you can find some in a specifically Asian store. Note: This fish will be SPECIFICALLY MARKED as for sushi. Make sure you buy this and not just some random package or whole fish you find at an Asian market. Also, if you have a high-quality Japanese restaurant, you can ask if you can purchase fish from them. Make sure it's high-quality, though, because cheaper restaurants will just use any old fish. Not that sushi fish will tend to be more expensive.
Definitely go with fresh, wild salmon and I would buy it from a fish market as opposed to the grocery store.
Sockeye would be ideal. Something NOT farm raised.
