Scored Pork, what does it mean?!

Question:

Scored Pork, what does it mean?

I have a recipe here that called for pork with scoring, what dies that mean?

Answers:
Scoring Pork means you just got laid in my country

With a sharp knife cut criss cross slices in the top of it w/o piercing thru to the other side. Just the surface. This will tenderize the meat. Flip meat over and do the same to the bottom portion.

scored-a notch, scratch, or incision; a stroke or line.

Usually the scoring of pork means that one cuts criss cross in to the pork rind, and usually one roasts the pork in the oven and when ready serve it with glazed cherries in tooth picks stuck in the "scoring" that makes for an appealing look to the roast.

Although a couple of the answers above are correct, the scoring also allows some of the fat to cook out both reducing the fat and basting the meat.

It means the lighty cut the surface of pork, usually for helping the flavor of marinading gets into the meat
