Is there any good Mexican food in Canada?!

Question:

Is there any good Mexican food in Canada?

From Texas

Answers:
If you come from Texas, I have to warn you that no Mexican food outside of that state will impress you. I live in Texas as well, but my family is in New York. One of the last times I was home I went to dinner at a Mexican place that my parents love. To me the food tasted bland and not as good as what I find in Texas.

I'm not saying there aren't any good Mexican places in Canada. What I'm saying is that if you go looking for one you can't expect it to live up to your experiences in Texas.

Good luck!!

In Red Deer, Alberta we have a really good mexican restaraunt called Las Palmeras. The owners have been running it for about 15 years now and is allways busy. I recomend the quesadillas and the pupusas (I know that pupusas are El salvadorian but damn their good!) They serve dos equis, pacifico, and of course coronas for beer.
The food is allways fresh.

There are a few good places in Canada. There was a pretty good place in Ottawa called "Rick's Canteena" that closed down recently due to poor sales. We have the regular stuff but occasionally a good place will pop up.

Canadians by and large prefer the faux mexican food of mexicali rosa's to the real thing.
