It's been on my menu for the past month and a half or so but I'm afraid to cook it in fear that it'll taste bad.

I have done that before, but it's not what I would call a brilliant dish.
It is a pretty plain meal unless you spice up the beans with some onion and garlic or something similar.
Yes I had it yesterday as it happens.
I had some left over Basmati rice. I put it in a bowl, poured a small tin of Heinze beans on top, Microwaved it for like 1 minute. Grated cheese on top, and microwaved for another 1min 30sec and it was great actually :)

why don't you try this? saute garlic onions, minced pork or beef,and some chili pepper.add your heinz beans. put it on top of your cooked rice. you might want grated cheese on top of it too.Microwave just before you eat. Yummy...
well actually, for my dinner im about to have fish, rice asnd heinz beans!
