What is your favorite kind of bread to toast?

Rye - It also makes a great garlic bread.
Here is a suggestion for an easy, light eat & go snack. It is healthy and tastes good... Toast a piece of rye bread, cover it with cottage cheese, and sprinkle it with a dash of pepper. Honest - It's good.

Anything fresh from a bakery....no preservatives. REAL BREAD sliced a good 3/4 inch thick.
Pumpernickel is very good - I liked that and the mixed marble kind too.
Texas toast
I love english muffins because they are crunchy if toasted right but there is also a bread called english muffin toasting bread that is fantastic and most grocery stores have it if you look around a bit. I also like rye bread toasted, or a good sourdough bread.
