can cats eat spaghetti?!

Question: Can cats eat spaghetti?
I spilled a lot of spaghetti on my floor and i took my cats out of the room to clean it up, when i was getting paper towels and rags i found my cat eating some of the spaghetti. she was probably only eating for about 10-15 seconds, i wasnt gone too long. will my cat be okay?? =(

Answers:

Yes, your cat will be ok.
Just don't get your cat table scraps everyday all the time, and it'll live a long, healthy life.

Yes it's fine. I wouldn't recommend feeding/letting her eat it on a regular basis, but a few bites is fine and won't hurt her. She probably was going after the meat sauce if you had any mixed in, or if you put butter or cheese or something like that on top... or sometimes cats get excited by odd foods that you'd never expect a cat to be interested in nevermind want to eat.

It doesn't do much for them, nutritionally, but it doesn't hurt either. If the sauce has meat or cheese, that's really what the cat is going for, not the spaghetti itself. One of my cats is apparently a real spaghetti sauce lover. I can't leave a dish with sauce in it for more than 5 seconds or she's on it.

You sound like a responsible cat owner :) And like the others, I will reassure you that your kitty will be okay as long as he/she doesnt feast on people food everyday.

Your cat could live on spagetti..

Yea it be all right

yes it dosent hurt the at all
