Can I eat Mexican queso while pregnant?!

Question: Can I eat Mexican queso while pregnant?
Everywhere I read says not to eat it because it might be made with unpasteurized milk and cheese. I asked my doctor and he said it was fine because it's cooked.

It should be fine.
How far along are you?
Just be careful with SALT intake.
It can create problems with excessive water retention.
Of course stay away from big doses of sugar too, but don't restrict yourself masochistically.
When you are really far along, just stay away from foods that make you uncomfortable.
Otherwise, eat what you WANT.

I don't believe you can find unpasteurized milk - cheese in the states - without a very special request

"Everywhere I read" - - ? ? believe only half of what you hear and even less what you read
the female body has been having babies for 4.7 million years - - sorry food is not your problem - -it is the radical food (?) nuts
Enjoy your food - your stress hurts your baby far more than any food - -
remember NO 'food' reaches your baby - ONLY your filtered blood that contain all the nutrients it needs
Good Luck - - I am happy for you ?

Anything you get premade should be cooked and fine but if your concerned read the package and you will be able to tell. If it doesn't clearly show, then make some yourself and you can be sure it's pasteurized.cooked. Anything in a restaurant will be cooked and safe to eat. Enjoy! Your dr. knows his stuff trust him :)

Of course, the majority of queso sold in major supermarkets is processed in the U S following strict standards. I, like Marie find your question offensive since all you have to do is read the label.

I don't know where you get your cheese, but of course it's OK.
I gotta say, as mexican, I'm kind of offended by this question.

I would not its not worth the risk to the baby

as long as its cooked and isnt real spicy you and the baby will be fine

it is all about you so if your happy with the cheese you eat it.

yes
