How big should onigiri be?!

Question: How big should onigiri be?
I made one that was about fist sized, and it was just... monstrous. Is it just my appetite that's the problem, or are they supposed to be made smaller?

Oh, and tips for making the triangle shape?I've been told how, but I didn't do very well with that last time :3

Answers:

An onigiri is usually the size of a small apple. There is no exact way of measuring or determining the size as it is just the amount of rice that you can fit into your hand and mold into the triangle shape. To make the shape takes a lot of hard practice. The bottom hand should be flat and the top hand is slightly curved as this shapes the onigiri into the triangle.

I dont think its your appetite..I could not eat a fist size rice ball either. :-)
They are normally part of a Bento box so should be much smaller, a bit bigger than nigri.
And the triangular shape takes years of practise.. just keep calm and carry on..
