Pizza sauce?!

Question:

Pizza sauce?

Whats the best brand of pizza sauce to use when making a homemade pizza?

Answers:
I use a small can of tomato paste as my pizza sauce.

I spread the paste over the pizza dough with the back of a spoon. (It will be a very thin layer).

Then I sprinkle the paste with 1/4 teaspoon of both salt and pepper and 1/2 teaspoon of sugar, garlic powder and red pepper flakes. Sometimes I also add dried basil, if I am not putting fresh basil on the pizza.

It sounds a little nutty, but it just makes the best pizza sauce! It is very thick, so it doesn't make the crust soggy like more watery sauces do, and the tomato flavor is very concentrated, so you get it in every bite. And it's very inexpensive.

Try it!

I buy the store brand, and add spices to make it to my family's liking.

I always use the traditional Prego spegitti sauce when I am in a hurry.

I prefer Ragu. Even regular old spaghetti sauce is enough. If you are daring enough just get Tomato Paste and Tomato Sauce add your favorite seasoning too taste. Be Creative.

pan fry in olive oil some onion tomatoes and peppers. deglaze with red wine(i/4 cup)
add diced tomatoes fresh or canned ok
cook down until all veggies are soft........you can use this like this or puree it

i use the plain hunt's tomato sauce in the small can. after i put it on the pizza i sprinkle a little garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper on it. i don't like chunky suaces so this works perfect and tastes fresh.
