Are Skittles and M&M's halal or haram?!

Question: Are Skittles and M&M's halal or haram?

I can't find a straight answer anywhere. I want to know if choco M&M's and skittles in the UK are halal or not? Also what should i look out for on the ingredients?

I just called the companies and verified that it is halal. Skittles used to be haraam, but now they aren't.

If they were halal the symbol would be on the packet. I've never noticed it myself therefore I doubt they are.

Everything cannot be halal and nor should it be.
