What should I bring...?!

Question:

What should I bring...?

As a side dish to my family reunion that is tommorow? The usual lunch consists of hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, and whatnot. Anyone have any ideas on what I could bring to kinda tie into the whole lunch menu without being too fancy, but not too cheap?

Answers:
i have a pasta salad that is GREAT and everyone loves it

1 bottle 8oz. Italian salad dressing
1 can baby corn drained
1 can black olives sliced and drained
1/2 pepparoni sliced into bite size pieces
3/4 bottle mccormich suddenly salad supreme (spice aisle)
1 pnt cherry tomatos cut in half
1/4 cup parm cheese
mix all ing. together and let sit in frig best if made over night
Everyone will love it and it is something diffrent and everyone will ask for the recipe.
Hope this helps and have fun!

Why don't you bring a dessert? You could do something like a Chocolate Delight -- it's cool and creamy and always goes over well at our reunions. Or perhaps a huge fruit salad or fruit tray?

Chilli

1. Take 1 onion (for 1 lb minced meat)
2. On a skillet/crock pot heat up cooking oil
3. Add the onion.
4. As the onion turn light brown add the meat
5. Add cinnamon, 1 teaspoon garlic, 1 teaspoon ginger, salt, 1 cup tomato paste/puree
6. Cook for 35 minutes, checking every 5 minutes
7. If gets dry add 1 cup of boiling water (each time it gets dry)
8. After 35 minutes has passed add 1 can of bean, 1 can of salsa (type depends on what you like) and 1 teaspoon of sugar.
9. Cook for 5-10 minutes (do not add any more water)
10. ENJOY

Try this veggie platter

1. Take a big plate and cover it with lettuce leaves
2. Cut of tomatoes and bellpeppers and take out their seeds (so they become like small bowls)
3. Put the dip you'll make (recipe is given below) in the tomato bowl
4. Put the veggies (celery, carrots and cucmbers) in long slices and put it inside the pepper
5. If you are putting cauliflower and broccoli then steam them and tuck one in at the side of the pepper.

Recipe for the dip (for 3 -4 cups of dip)

1. Take 1 and a half cup yogurt
2. Take 1 cup of sours cream
3. 4 table spoon olive oil
4. about a cup of baby spinach
5. salt, pepper, mint (as you like it)
6. 2 cloves of garlic
7. 1 teaspoon of hot sauce
8. 1 tomato
9. 1/2 avocado
10. 1 tablespoon mayo

Blend all the ingredients together

Fruit salad, maybe. That always goes well. Or, even a melon, or a melon boat.

potato salad always works.

some kinda salad my family has a reunion every year and salad always always gets eaten

a green salid --or macroni salid -or patato salid -baked beans-fruit of your choice----- a craker spread ---stuffed celery with peanut butter or cream cheese-a chicken i dressing it's streachable.

there are a number of things....baked beans, relish tray with assorted veggies, cold watermelon (cubed in a bowl) always a big hit in hot weather, unless there is adequate refrigeration I would stay away from anything with mayo.

pasta salad...just boil some noodles (get fancy with the noodles by cool shapes or colored ones so it looks more expensive) and then buy some block cheeses (gouda, havarti) and lunch meats (salami, ham) cool the noodles...and buy one of those italian dressing packets from good seasons...poor it in...and then mix in some extra virgin olive oil...(mix in red onions, green/red/yellow peppers, cukes, celery, maybe some pine nuts or sunflower seeds to add some crunch)

you could always bring like potato sald or macaroni sald! Or regular salad for that matter!!!
