Is it true that you can't drink milk the same time, when you consume fish?!

Question:

Is it true that you can't drink milk the same time, when you consume fish?

Rumor has it if you eat fish and then drink milk, you will develop white spots on the skin. I wanted to know if this is true.

Answers:
I grew up on the East coast being taught that you can't drink milk with lobster...

Later I learned that "mainlanders" famously eat lobster with butter - which of course is dairy - and they all seem to be doing just fine. So I think it's just an old wive's tale.

old wives tale, NOT TRUE

Never heard of that Someone may be telling you some stories.

I grew up in the South and heard this all the time when I was young. It's like having to wait at least thirty minutes after a meal to go swimming. Old wives tales!

I had a glass of milk with my fish for supper last night and I don't have white spots yet. Lots of freckles, but no white spots.

never heard of that before. i eat fish and have a glass of milk with my meal and i am 50 yrs. old. no white spots, just age spots. don't think that has anything to do with milk and fish. i also use buttermilk as part of the batter i make to fry fish. i think someone is jerking your line honey.
