K, I'm not sure I am spelling it right. I babysat some kids that ate it. It was a tortilla, like you guys described and inside were these weird peppers I have never seen before. I was just curious about it.

Being a former chef and well versed in Indian cuisine, a "Dosa" is a large flat pancake type food, made with ground rice and urdal, a white lentil, it is ground in a machine into a batter, then allow to sit over night.

Then it is spread on a flattop grill, made into an oval, about the size of a hubcap, it is rolled and served with various curries, sambars and pickles as a way to eat the food without a fork or knife it is alot like pita bread in Middle Eastern cooking or a enjera in Ethiopian cuisine.

Sometimes it will come stuffed with potatos or other vegetable dished, but is generally a side used to eat the food with.

I like it and have eaten in Canada and in Singapore, it is something everyone should try if they like Indian food. But it can be hard to find unless you have that certain style of Indian cuisine in your area.

As far as I am concerned "Dosa" is an indian food. However, I never heard of mondosa, where I pride myself in knowing about foods from different countries.

Describe the food if you know and I'll try to help.
