Generally nothing is served during the ceremony. So I'm guessing you mean the reception either just before or immediately after the wedding ceremony. This is a bit tough to answer, since you have given so little information. How formal is the wedding. Is it for a 50 friends and relatives or a few hundred people? Is it formal or casual? Are you catering the wedding or preparing the food yourselves? Will a full meal be served after the reception?

Mixed drinks and finger foods (Hors D'oeuvres) are usually served prior to or immediately after the ceremony. If this will be the only foods served, you might want to add some hot dishes like pastas, meatballs, chicken marsala etc. served in portable catering trays on racks.
Savory Hors D'oeuvres can include anything from catered Baby Lamb Chops, Caviar, Smoked Salmon, Crab Cakes etc. to Franks in the Blanket, knishes and quiche purchased from Costco, BJs, Sam's club or any big box store or supermarket or home made.

There are plenty of cold savory Hors D'oeuvres you can make yourself too. Cut the crusts off thin slice bread, roll out fairly flat, spread with cream cheese and smoked salmon, roll up and cut in pieces. You can do this with ham and cheese or any combo that can be rolled, then sliced. It is best to prepare the rolls a few hours in advance, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate. Unwrap, slice rolls and place on serving dish.
you can make also.

It would depend upon the culture or ethnicity and at what stage of the ceremony.

For me it might be a few drinks before the wedding, and an assortment of finger foods afterward.
