They are not getting rid of Fruit Loops. They are trying to make it healthier. If they cannot, they will only market it to the older kids.
i'm allergic to fruit loops:( it's the red dye that i'm allergic to. but still, it should be against the law to get rid of fruit loops. cuz i still eat them but i just take my pills so i'm fine. they're really delicious. along with fruity pebbles.

No they might not get rid of him...the cereal's have to follow strict guidelines in order to market to kids...such as have less than 200 calories etc....which is good because obestity is growing in this country. But if they can meet the guidelines...then they can still market to kids..>Like with Frosted Flakes....they now have lower sugar...and you can get a pedometer in the box...which keeps track of how many steps you take....so lets just hope that these cereals can get it right!

They have already demeaned so many well known cereals with the removal of their icons.
There's always a knockoff brand for every well known cereals, and though they may not look the same, they taste just as nice! If you're really that concerned about Fruit Loops, than just find a website that links to the brand, and they'll always have a "Contact Us" option, which you can express your concern.
Honestly, old cereals are being tossed for "new" ideas. My mother, who is a FAN and a half of Triz was depressed when Trix changed their shapes. Instead of the fruit shapes, it is rounded like Fruit Loops.
Try it, and maybe you'll find it to be better.
I think people have become too darned politicially correct. Froot Loops is delicious. So what if it isn't perfect nutrition. Why does everything a kid ingests be perfectly good for them. Don't misunderstand me, a blanaced diet is GREAT, but I want less rigidity and more fun. A kid enjoys Froot Loops should eat them, as long as his PARENTS believe it to be in his best interests. The government is overstepping its boundaries for some childhood obesity battle that begins at HOME, not D.C.
