Where can you buy safe food nowadays?!

Question: Where can you buy safe food nowadays?
okay so I learned some gross stuff about our food. the most horrific thing was about how they mechanically separate chicken, then it's full of bacteria so they use bleach or some cleaner on it, then it doesn't taste like chicken anymore so they have to add chicken flavor to it. I'm never eating a chicken nugget again!

I'm now freaked out. it seems like we can't eat anything w/o getting all these chemicals. farmers markets aren't open in winter where I live so I have to rely soon on grocery stores. any advice?

Safe food is food you make yourself not overly processed crap like chicken nuggets (I don't believe i have ever eaten a chicken nugget, they never seemed like food to me).

But foods in their whole, raw form, not already processed and ready to eat. that means buy dried beans, fruits and vegetables, rice, flour, etc., and cook real food.

Also don't be too sure that farmers markets in your area are closed all winter and certainly don't assume local farmers are not producing year round or nearly year round. I know my farm produces food 10 to 12 months a year

http://www.localharvest.org has the best data base of farmers markets and farm and will indicate if they go all winter long.

Your taking a chance with any prepared food like chicken nuggets, pizza, etc. Cook it yourself and at least you know what is going into it. Look for chicken without additives or that say free range and buy your poultry, meat and veggies from a local farm or green market. If your buying from reputable dealers/stands/stores, and the food says organic, it should contain no preservative or chemicals and usually means the animals are treated humanely

Nowhere! The only safe food is what you grow and raise yourself. So I suggest you buy a farm.

It's going away fast
