Chuck a chicken vindaloo and some chicken stock in a blender and maybe some cooked potato's add extra seasoning to taste and you have lazy mans spicy indian soup. Yumyum

Sure! The delicious Thai Tom Yam springs to mind. I particularly like the veg version, but the meat (chicken or beef) or fish is good too. The Anglo-Indian soup Mulligatawny can be quite spicy, though I had a mildly seasoned one once too. It also depends what exactly you mean by spicy. I love the southern French Soupe au Pistou, which is very heavily seasoned with basil and other delicious things. It's not exactly "hot and spicy" though. Yemenite soups, on the other hand, can be fiery.

my kitchen mostly; also some restaurants

I sometimes add roasted poblano and roasted jalapeno peppers to my cream of mushroom.
Roast the peppers on the grill. Once they are blistered all over, place in a plastic bag and allow to cool. Peel the charred skin off and slice into strips and add to the soup. They elevate the soup so much.
Try experimenting with your favorite peppers. My husband usually adds red pepper flakes to his soup.

There are many from Korea.

Haejangguk
Kkongchijjigae (fish)
