i'm doing a report on Austria and i need to know the fall favorites when it comes to food in Austria.

Knudel (dumpling or noodles) is a very common side dish. Tafelspitz is popular, too. As the grapes ripen, heurigen (heuriger is singluar) are hopping. It's a wine tavern that serves its own wine plus local foods usually.
Schnitzels....thinly pounded meat usually veal or chicken, breaded and pan fried.
