Dried tomatoes?!

Question:

Dried tomatoes?

okay so now I have a bunch of dried tomatoes and I'm not sure what to do with them. Please help

Answers:
Cut half of them into strips and pack them tightly in a Mason Jar. Very tight. Fill the jar with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and store for later use.

The remainder, cut into strips and add them to everything you eat!

Salads
Sandwiches
Omelettes
Vegetable side dishes
Eat as snacks

Use them as a pizza topping.

Put them in soups.

Eat them plain.

throw em away

Put them in a jar of olive oil for a few days to soften up, then take them out and cut them into strips. Toss the strips with your favorite pasta, hot butter, garlic and chopped fresh basil and/or pine-nuts. If you really want to go off the deep end, add some capers and smoked salmon slices.

Mmmmmmm.......

Soak them in some boiling water for 10 minutes. Then you can put them in salads, pasta, pizza, whatever. They're good!

Pasta
Sandwiches
Salads
Garnishes
....and any dish that you cook that you enjoy having regular tomatoes in :).

I personally love linguine with a light cream sauce with the dried tomatoes in it! Very tasty.

If they're very dry, you can throw them in a blender and make a tomato powder out of them that's useful for flavoring and thickening.

puree some with olive oil for a sundried tomato paste, good on pizza, pasta, brushed over chicken after grilling.
cover some with olive oil and keep in the fridge for a quick snack , tomatoes on toast with cheese and ham.
cook some up in a onion garlic sauce with oregano, then puree and freeze in small quanities for pasta sauce ready to go.

Toss them in a pasta salad
Pizza topping
Bruschetta
