What is the best way to keep fresh corn in the stalk?!

Question:

What is the best way to keep fresh corn in the stalk?

Do you peel the stalk off or do you leave it on?

Answers:
Definitely leave the stalk on...and try to cook the corn as quickly as possible. From the moment that corn is picked, its natural sugars begin turning to starch, so the longer it sits, the tougher and less sweet it will be!

Keep the husk on definitely. It keeps it fresher longer.

Leave it on, and in the fridge - but not for long.

One more way, peel the leaves back and remove the silks by twisting off and pull back up the leaves, freeze and when you are ready to cook put in a paper sack in the nuke for about 3 minutes, then take the leaves off and you have mmmm corn.
Fresh, boil your water, drop your clean ears in and boil 4 minutes, cover and remove from heat source and leave sitting in water till ready to serve.
