I understand a sandwich to be anything eaten between two pieces of bread. A buscuit is bread. Cut it in half and you have two pieces. Put a sausage patty in between and technically it is a sandwich, I I call it a sausage biscuit because it you go to Biscuitville ask for a sausage sandwich the people working ther are just going to stare at you.

I would consider it a sandwich.
This might help your argument -

yes sandwich is defined as two or more slices of bread with a type of filling in the middle and since biscuit is a type of bread (quick bread) i therefore conclude your friends are idiots.

i agree with you that a sandwich is just two pieces of bread covering meat or some other filling.
its not the same type of sandwich as one from subway but its still a sandwhich

Your friends are idiots. Yes a sausage biscuit is a sandwich.

I think a sausage buscuit is...a sausage biscuit!
