Egyptian/Arab Cuisine cookbook?!

Question: Egyptian/Arab Cuisine cookbook?
Well, I was thinking about writing an Egyptian/Arab/Middle Eastern cuisine cookbook. But i was wondering, as a non-arab/middle eastern would you be interested in buying it or learning how to cook middle eastern foods?

Answers:

I think you need to see what is out on the market already. I am proud owner of a vast library of cookbooks, almost 500 of them and the latest one I happened to buy was Arabesque http://www.amazon.co.uk/Arabesque-Taste-…

Granted, this is just a section of the Middle East, but I also have Tamarind & Saffron too.

Here is Amazons list on middle eastern cookery - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/search/ref=sr…

If you feel you can add a different flavour to your cookbook, then it could be a nice idea

But as one person has already said, if you can give nice photos and easy to understand and follow methods, then you may be on to a winner.

Silvena Rowe brought a cookbook out earlier on this year called Purple Citrus and Sweet Perfume which is Eastern Mediterranean cooking. This was totally different to others of it's kind in that the way she was speaking from experience and from talking to local people in this area. The photographs in the book are striking. This is what made it a high ranker in the food and drink section.

Hi: Certainly - there are all sorts of great recipes that originate in the Middle East (the desserts are fantastic.). If you do decide to create a cookbook, try to include as many photos of the food nicely presented, it will help to sell your book.

Me - I have all kinds of ethnic cookbooks from all over the world.

No. I already have six..

My bookshelf.
