In French we call those féculents: corn starch, bread, chips, pasta, cookies, etc... anything that uses starch or flour

Anything that you didnt feel comfortable & relaxed when eating it so it could be anything. I can eat lobster soup & feel good or a chicken sandwich...the style of what's comfort isnt for everyone. if you like escargo...snails in mushroom sauce then who am i to say that's not comfort.
