What is that creamy white dressing used in Germany called?!

Question: What is that creamy white dressing used in Germany called?
It is similar to ranch dressing, but tastes better (in my opinion) and commonly served with fried potatoes or fried mushrooms. Does anyone know the name and if it can be found in the US?

Are you sure its not garlic mayo. My hubby was stationed in Germany for years and they had garlic mayo with everything, chips, Frikadeller etc ?

It could be a sour cream and dill sauce, tsatziki, or Kr?uterquark.
It's a bit difficult to think of a sauce like the one you described off the top of my head, there are many sauces used for the same purposes.

I think you mean Mayonnaise, they put it on French fries (Pommes Fritz in Germany) I lived there many years but always declined, seems to much like Kippers and custard to me!

You can find any kind of garbage in the U.S.A. Kraft makes everything.

Mayonnaise!!! You can make this yourself: Butter, an egg, oil and mustard!

Mayonnaise, of course! Have you just come to earth or something? Sorry I cannot believe this question.

chicken alfredo maybe?
