Question: What am i eating..does it have a name?
since my teen years. i have made a sort of bread..just using flour [whole wheat] and water..i use a little sea salt.. i knead it a little and finger pat it to about the size of a large plate.. i cook it in till done put soft...i love bread and also eat a lot of arripa..from living in venezuela..corn flour and water..also on griddle..i was wondering if the recipe could be refined as possible there is a better way to make whatever i am eating..a sort of whole wheat tortilla..american bread from the supermarket is terrible and i always found this filling.yep..family thinks i'm crazy..but i can make this in 4 minutes start to finish.

I found a similar recipe in one of my cookbooks called Poori or fried Indian bread. The only major differences is the recipe I found uses half all-purpose flour and half whole wheat flour and is fried in 1 inch of salad oil. You did not mention any oil in your preparations but I am guessing you must use some type of oil or fat to coat the griddle..



It's a bread. Why don't give another name for it like "painfou" which means "crazy bread". it's a french dialect. Or you wanna try a Italian one like "panepazzo". hahaha. try it.
