Question: Sushi and Jesus Christ?
Recently I met some Korean and they told me sushi and Jesus are actually from Korea. They even told me China was used to be part of Korea too. Is that real because it is different than what I learned from school, thanks!

Hahaha... I've heard something similar too. I was told:

1) Confucius was actually Korean. Needless to say, Confucius was born and raised in China.
2) Acupuncture was first used by Koreans. That was Chinese too.
3) Chinese herbal medicines was first developed in Korea. That's traditional Chinese medicine.
4) Samurai swords was first developed by Koreans. Well, the general shape and design was Chinese. It was developed during Tang Dynasty. The style didn't caught on in China but it gained popularity in Korea. Koreans did used and improved the metal of Chinese Tang swords before Japanese. Unfortunately, it was the Japanese who perfected the sword and made the sword famous.
5) Korean foods is the spiciest food in the world. In fact, certain Indian foods will make many Koreans uncomfortable. Certain Thai dishes will make many Indians uncomfortable and many Koreans very uncomfortable.
6) China used to be Korea. Well, a small part of China used to be part of Korea. Archaeologist found many ancient Korean style graves in north eastern part of China. They ruled out the possibility of immigration because the numbers of Korean style graves were way too many. Expanding the boarders by force or a Chinese invasion is the most likely scenario.
7) Korean invented sushi. Some said sushi originated in South East Asia in 4th century AD. Some said sushi originated in China between 7th AD. This statement would be true if China was once a part of Korea.

That Jesus came from Korea part is the biggest joke I've heard so far. I think in another 50 years or so, some Koreans will probably believe Honda was originally spelled Hyundai. LOL

PS: Korean government purposefully brain washed their citizens to boost nationalism. They also constantly promoted that Koreans are the best of the best in the whole world. This got a positive psychological effect on people and it did help speed up the development of Korea. It also created an unique bond among Koreans. But, when such acts were pushed beyond the extremes, it also poisoned some people's minds. It turned some Koreans into super extreme nationalists. Try not to argue with your Korean friend about Korea. They sounded like those super extreme nationalists. You really don't want to push that little button or things will blow up real fast and escalate way beyond your wildest imaginations.

PPS: Some Koreans also claimed that they invented noodles/ramen/spaghetti. Their views on taekwondo and kung fu were also very interesting. I kind of like to push that little button. LOL

Jesus was a jew from Israel that believed Juddaism was not adhered to properly in his times and therefore made adjustments to improve the faith. He was born in Israel and stayed there his whole life. Nothing to do with the far east!
As to sushi, that is a far east dish, perhaps invented in China or Korea. Japanese are known to adopt much of their culture from the main land.

As to the origin of sushi, here is wiki:
As to from where Jesus was the answer is well know.
It's upto you to believe or not what the Korean told you.
