^ chow meins chinese.. and.. pasta sauce is italian..
anyways there's not really much because nigerians eat alot of 'ground rice' 'occra' 'plaintains' which.. you can find in the caribbean and some latin places too .. there's in nigeria when i visited in the big cities like abuja and lagos there's alot of western foods pizza, pies, hotdogs all that but in terms of traiditional foods nothings very similar... one thing that comes to mind is 'pepe soup' which is like a spicy fish stew i'm sure americans will have something along those lines but when you say 'american' food the only real food which is geniunely america is hot dogs, pumpin pies, apple pie, strudle, cobbler things like that southern food is again influenced by african americans so you can find perhaps some similarlity there



Other than Hot dogs, hamburgers, chow mien, and garlicky pasta sauce, there's no such thing as American food.
