What is the best brand/form of honey to buy?!

Question:

What is the best brand/form of honey to buy?

I always use clover, sue bee, usually.
is theres a difference in store bought honey or honey bought at local fruit and veggie road side stands from local bee hives?
its a bit confusing! does it have vitamins?

Answers:
Honey is a minor source of vitamins and minerals. Honey from your road side stands will most likely be fresher due to warehousing in commercial processing of "store " honey. There is the belief in "local honey" boosting your immune system and helping your body fight allergies. So honey bought from a raod side stand near you would be better for you than honey bought from a commercial producer that gathers honey from sources all over the continent.

The very best honey is the orange. Once you have orange you will never go back to clover. Look for the jars with the orange lid rather than the yellow. It is absolutley delicious.

The flavor of the honey will vary, depending on the type of flower predominantly used by the bees to make it. Small beekeepers who sell their honey independently often keep their hives near orchards. The orchard owners trees get pollinated, and the honey produced has a different flavor, depending on the type of tree. I don't think there is a nutritional difference.

I try to buy the purest form of honey, but it quite difficult to find in supermarket nowdays.

So i buy 'Manuka honey instead' since it have antibacteria properties and it really good for you since the bee was breed in a clean and safe environemnt - it expensive though about double the cost.

I always love small grove or orchard honey the best. Small beekeepers tend to have a sweeeter honey, but it is not refined. I mean it is pressed and scraped off the comb without purification, it is still homoginized. *you will have pieces of comb and sometimes bee fragments, but it is the all natural best!!!!
