Can you substitute Jasmine rice for long grain rice?!

Question: Can you substitute Jasmine rice for long grain rice?
making spanish rice... all i have is lots of jasmine rice..

Answers:

Jasmine rice is a type of long grain rice. It's called Jasmine rice because of its unique aroma. If you don't mind the unique aroma, you could make spanish rice with Jasmine rice without any problems.

It will work, but you'll have to adjust the cooking time. Look at the instructions on the box and adjust your recipe accordingly.

Hmmm, jasmine rice has mild flower-like taste and scent. It won't be a disaster but the jasmine taste won't fit with the rest, I think.

I stopped using long grain a few years ago-no prob-adjust time + water as stated by an earlier answer.

Sure. I use Jasmine rice for everything (except sticky rice) with excellent results.
