I made some chocolate covered strawberries. How long can I keep them?!

Question:

I made some chocolate covered strawberries. How long can I keep them?

When will they go off?

Answers:
i would say to eat them up right away. have you ever noticed before how quickly they can go bad in the fridge? you know have them covered to where you can't see if mold is growing or if they are turning mushy. Shayna mentioned freezing them, only if you want to eat them frozen cause once you take them out to thaw, they will become sweaty and mushy, your chocolate will not stay on. you only freeze fruits if you plan on cooking with them cause when you thaw them they are mushy.

freezing them ensures a longer 'life' of them.
otherwise,. they will melt and rot the strawberries in warm weather.

Sorry, they never last more than 3 minutes at my house.

No more than 12 hours

I have a chocolate store and we guarantee our chocolate dipped strawberries for 24 hours. Sometimes they will last as much as 48 hours. The more ripe your berries are, the shorter the time you have to consume them. Freezing doesn't work unless you want to eat them frozen. Chocolate accelerates the deterioration of the strawberry, so eat them quickly!

i recomend 12 - 24 hours if put in fridge
